La Boheme
An Excitement in the Centre of Jakarta,
Introducing La Boheme, an excitement yet cozy and eye catching rooms and coffee that i thought it was only just a cozy coffee shop.
A week a go, my friends and I are just excited to go somewhere while we're welcoming PSBB Transition in Jakarta. We haven't seen each other in a while because of the pandemic, so we decided to go somewhere, just having a good coffee but sticking to the strict PSBB protocol in Jakarta. We still want to survive tho.
As I (as usual) diving the internet to find a right spot, somewhere WE (Me, and two Bellas) haven't go yet. Which is now officially in the critical condition although we probably haven't go or experience all the coffee shop in Jakarta, we still don't know where we wanted to go at that moment. We agreed to go anywhere as long as the roads are still in the middle of our way home, which is always in Kuningan Jakarta. Where Bela, who lives in Kemanggisan, West of Jakarta and another Bella, who lives in Taman Mini, East of Jakarta could still 'tolerate' the distance they were away from home.
While I, the northern person in Jakarta will always you know...
Give in.
Since my house are very much likely to be far from all the places in Jakarta.
And thanks to the internet and the power of Social Media, I (well, eventually we all did) decided @labohemejkt on Instagram. Phew save my day.
I have my eyes on this account for a while before we all agreed because of the 'boho' and cozy designs of the Cafe that we personally liked. I already felt the need of curiosity and excitement after seeing their Instagram which also explains that it turns out that La Boheme is also I would say a hotel.
From Tanjung Priok to La Boheme riding my lovely Scoopy, I made it to the place with a distance of 20 KM, 45 minutes on the road. Finding the location was a bit hard, I would say a bit because it was my fault because I got myself lost somewhere around Setiabudi road, but luckily and praise Google Maps for existing I found the beautiful house-building which would make everyone who passed the street left wonder, "Ih apaan nih kok lucu banget tempatnya?"
Well, I certainly would say that.
As I park my motor cycle through the basement, for a second I wonder where's the lift lobby or something that would get myself into the cafes because there's no sign of it but it wont necessary hard to find through the little stepwalk besides the toilet that can get you straight to the cafes and lobby for the hotel.
And after entering the cafe, the first thing that crossed my mind was how cute this place was. Just like what I imagined at home before arriving.
I always have a bet on myself about the cafe or restaurant or even any unique place before arriving at that place, because the internet can also be a pain for you sometimes, right? Time and time I lost the bet, well because the place arent like the photos that they were giving at the IGs, but some of them do have a good coffee.
Bella who already arrived first ordered her foods, makes me wonder about what she thought of the place. She has a very same taste like I do, so we're definitely cool. She ordered her usual orders, which is Caramel Macchiato Ice and Penne Pasta. She had some research with the menus that available in the Cafe before and she has giving an eye for the penne pasta they have shared the photos on their Instagram feeds, which I do too admit it really looks delicioso.
While I order Es Kopi Susu, for 38k which I felt ok with that.
Another thing that attracted me to La Boheme before arriving at the place is their outdoor rooftop which is now an important factor in the current pandemic. Plus score, it has a great ambience too. We rarely busy with our phones because the ambience are too dearrr to be ignore.
So what I'd say about this place are 100% place to go to if you wanna just focus chatting with your bestie or love one. Or in my opinion, you can just 'check in' to their hotel.

I'm gonna give LA BOHEME a **** (4 star) for this one.
Gonna do a review more!
